About me 🇬🇧

I'm a postdoctoral researcher working at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in the Theoretical Ocean Dynamics group. My research focuses on the response of oceanic gyres to changes in large scale momentum and buoyancy forcing. Before, I did my PhD at the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) and the Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research Utrecht (IMAU) on the topic of mesoscale eddy dynamics over sloping topography. Apart from doing research, I enjoy outreach activities to teach a broad audience about oceanography, climate change and the experiences of being a researcher. Furthermore I find it very important to contribute to making the world of research as inclusive as possible.
